Today, the Urban Heat Island (UHI) represents a scourge with both environmental and human impacts. In the current context of global warming, it is necessary to react quickly.
High temperatures due to UHI, especially during the summer period, can affect the environment and the quality of life in the cities and their occupants.
The reduction of impermeable surfaces and the increase of green surfaces can help to reduce the "heat island" effect. This is why draining paving stones may be the appropriate solution to limit these effects.
