The creation of a corporate chair is the concrete expression of this privileged relationship. This type of partnership commits the school and the company in the medium to long term in terms of pedagogy and/or research.

CHAIR " Price Studies " - Legendre Group

 

The price study engineer intervenes upstream of the construction site. But how to set the right price when submitting an offer, the one that will allow the sale of the project? Because putting a figure on the cost of a construction project is not based solely on technical expertise. This is the purpose of the "Price Studies" chair, which will enable ESITC Caen to strengthen its teaching teams with expert teachers from the price studies sector and to draw on the expertise of Groupe Legendre, a fast-growing group specialising in construction, real estate and energy. Groupe Legendre will be involved in recruitment operations and seminars organised by the school in order to raise awareness on the subject of price studies. The company will also invest in the transmission of knowledge through: conferences, courses and participation in ESITC Caen's professional development councils. The Legendre Group is also committed to welcoming interns and engineering students with apprentice status. Research and development initiatives are also planned with the laboratory of the Caen engineering school.

CHAIR " Development, laying and rehabilitation of networks " - les Canalisateurs

 

 

Pipeline networks are a major challenge for the city of tomorrow. The aim is not only to provide increasing numbers of people with a safe supply of drinking water and various gases and fluids, but also to prevent the predicted water shortages by optimizing the irrigation of cultivated land and the use of materials and technologies for monitoring and maintaining the networks to avoid waste. By creating this specialized chair in partnership with Les Canalisateurs, ESITC Caen is taking full measure of these issues. The agreement signed today provides for concerted actions between ESITC Caen's teams and this professional federation, which has 330 members specialising in pipe laying and rehabilitation: raising engineering students' awareness of the attractiveness of companies in the sector, transmitting cutting-edge know-how and expertise in network laying and rehabilitation, welcoming interns and students with apprentice status, and involvement in research and development projects in ESITC Caen's laboratory.

 

"Through this chair, we wish to shed new light on a little-known social issue. We will work closely with future ESITC Caen engineers to help them discover the innovations and technicalities of the world of networks," said Jean-Claude Brossier, Chairman of the Training Commission for Channel Operators.

 

CHAIR " Offshore works and renewable marine energies " - DEME Group

 

For this Chair, ESITC Caen is partnering with the DEME group, through SDI, the French subsidiary of the international market leader in complex maritime engineering works. The school thus gains access to the group's industrial expertise in the piloting and implementation of projects for the production of renewable marine energy, the exploitation of marine resources, the decontamination and recycling of polluted soils as well as the provision of services for the energy, oil and gas sectors. This partnership allows ESITC Caen to further develop training related to dredging work and marine renewable energy through a technical approach and the reinforcement of international expert speakers from the sector.
